How do you talk your way out of a ticket?

Most of us have had the alarming experience of hearing sirens go off and seeing bright lights in our rear view mirrors, only to discover that the police officer is pulling us over. Whether it's for speeding or not really coming to a full stop, how do you talk your way out of a ticket? Do you bat your eyelashes or start to cry or perhaps, share some humor? Share your experiences of how you have successfully walked away from a situation 'ticket free!'

You just have to be cool. I guess flirt because that would also be known as talking to the officer

I just try to look sad and pathetic. I know someone who works with the deaf (she also has 2 deaf children and a deaf husband). She pretends to be deaf to get out of tickets. I guess it works. She got the idea when her deaf husband kept getting pulled over and getting out of them.
